Biteguard

If signs or symptoms occur from clenching or grinding one’s teeth a custom oral guard can be made. We make custom guards (including athletic mouth guards) right here in the office for you.

Socket Graft

A process after a tooth extraction in which the bone is preserved for a dental implant. The extraction site is is “filled” in with new bone or a material to aid the body healing this area.

Resin Composite Fillings

A filling material made of a ceramic and plastic compound. Composites come in many shades to mimic the appearance of natural teeth.

Dental Implant Surgery and Restoration

An artificial tooth root that is anchored in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth. An implant abutment is a metal extension that is connected to the implant by a small screw. An implant crown goes over the implant abutment to restore the contours and chewing function that was there prior to tooth loss. Dental implants and abutments can last a lifetime.

Tooth Extraction

A tooth extraction is a procedure that completely removes your tooth from it’s socket in your jawbone.

Dental Crown

Dental crowns provide a way to restore the integrity of teeth that are cracked or decayed, and in cases where a filling is so large that not much of the original tooth structure remains. They’re also used cosmetically to improve the appearance of teeth that are severely discolored or misshapen.

Fillings

A “filling” is the common name given to a dental procedure that removes decay—a cavity—in a tooth and fills the space left behind with a synthetic material.

Fluoride Treatments

Tooth enamel is hard yet porous. Plaque on the surfaces of your teeth produces acids that seep into the pores (rods) of the enamel. This process is called demineralization. A cavity will ensue if the demineralization continues too often. Untreated, decay spreads into the tooth and can destroy the tooth structure.

Periodontal Care

Periodontal disease is an infection in the gums and surrounding supporting tissues of the teeth. There are two stages of gum disease. The first is called gingivitis, and the second is periodontitis. We can help you through many stages of the periodontal disease process from beginning, advanced to maintenance.

Root Canal

This procedure allows the tooth to be saved from extraction in most cases. Root canals may be warranted because of inflammation or deep infection inside the root. The most common reason is a high degree of decay within the tooth. The diseased tooth may cause damage to the jaw bone or cause other problems if the infection spreads. Without a root canal, the tooth may need to be extracted.

Sealants

A procedure where a plastic compound is flowed into the biting surfaces of the teeth. This plastic coating helps to reduce decay from occurring in the common areas of decay. Once the sealant is in place it will reduce the extent of decay on the biting surface and delay the time decay may occur as sealants will not last a forever.
